His sense of rhythm and melody is undeniable, even if the content is weak. Best Friend was the track that solidified my fandom...shyt was like a ritual and the switch up in flow from verse 1 to verse 2 is :banderas:. LIke I'm sure if you broke the shyt down you'd realize he spits in iambic pentameter or some other kind of impressive structure.

That said, I don't try to put people on to his music unless I think they have an open mind. Not for the uninitiated or those not in touch enough with melanic vibrations. :mjpls:

"media push"

Lol, you couldn't be more wrong on this. Fans who've been rocking with Thugger for a minute now have been saying his labels have been constantly fukking up when it comes to promoting his music and that he should be a lot more popular than he is. There's no big corporate conspiracy here, people enjoy Thug's music because he has a unique knack for melody, flow, rhythm, etc and has the pop sensibility and know-how to craft catchy music. In fact a whole bunch of people here became Thug fans after that batch of leaks dropped and flooded the internet with good music, wasn't no "media push" there, it's just good music.
Dude this guy has enough media push as is. You guys just sound greedy and not familiar with rappers who actually have to put in work for exposure.

Ill agree with you once I see his listeners still listen to his older albums once a newer one comes out :mjlol:

Give him a chance to grow with his content

nikka is a kid.. It took Nas a solid 4 years to show growth in his content. Every artist is different.

Myself
Im saying that if he wasnt pushed by the media not much people would be into him. Most people I see only listen to his popular songs and never touch the older albums once a new one comes out lol.

That's alot of Entertainment tho.

I mean, how many people would really be into Star Wars if they didn't remake it every 3 years for the past 60 years coupling the shyt with Halloween Costumes and Children's Toys

Breh all us Thug fans had this revelation at one point.

You start of as skeptical...thinking Young Thug is a gimmick rapper like Lil B or some shyt....

then one day you hear a tune you're feeling...:ohhh:

then another :whoo:

By then end of the night you're overwhelmed :blessed::ohlawd::banderas::mjcry:

That's why I say his music is like an experience. You have to GET it. It has to hit you. I went from avoiding Young Thug threads to actually believing he's a musical genius.

I have nothing but Young Thug in rotation at the moment. And I'm a dude who refuses to listen to post-2006 rap artists.

Anybody who is into star wars would express interest in the older movies and talk about it once in awhile and even watch parts sometimes.

These guys who listen to Young Thug delete his old album and download the new one and never looks back. Thats not truly liking him. :dead:
