I was just reading about this and I KNEW bruh was Jamaican.
The Chi.
"Jerk Man", "Jerk Truck", "Jerk Taco Man": They are all over the place and practically all of them are run by dudes in the hood...and as I stated, bland. But they make killing even given its KFC-like quality.
Luckily, I live close to a real spot. In fact, you don't even need sauce. Just eat it as is.

Chicago has a massive African american population and with out the huge west Indian population like Miami or NYC. That shyt wouldn't work for example where i live in bklyn. theres like 6 spots within 4 blocks on nostrand ave. its all fresh off the boat west Indians running them.
Its funny you mention this because I noticed jerk spots in the chi. I really think Chicago is the Hood food capital of the world, fried chicken spots, BBQ spots, even saw deep fried philly cheese steak egg rolls. Im not surprised Hood n/ggas are running with the jerk chicken wave.
Its not going to work in Flatbush or rosedale but the hypebeasts in east village or williamsburg would probably go crazy about it.If someone tried some bullshyt like that here in NYC
