Dellavedova couldn't shut down Kyrie like that

I mean "beating off the dribble" as in a straight line blow-by. I pretty explicitly stated that if he gets cute with his handle he can slip by defenders but the Cavs have already nullified that. He's not athletic enough to blow by someone with a hesi or split a double team then contort between 2 defenders for a layup on some Rose shyt.
Yeah, so like I was saying, Curry beats defenders off the dribble all the time. He also splits doubles and was doing that quite a bit last night late in that game.

THe difference is, after he gets his separation or split, he takes the midrange shot, instead of driving to the rack (which clearly isn't his strength).

His handle is ELITE. Anybody denying this is trolling or just ignorant as fukk. Dellavedova ball denial on Curry as been great, but he is food in 1 on 1 situations.

Delly and Curry have gone 1-on-1 several times in Games 2 and 3 and I hardly saw Delly getting "cooked" out there. Please give the guy some respect..he got signed to the team solely because he used to lock up Kyrie Irving in practices to the point where Kyrie wanted to throw hands. Steph's handle is elite, but the trouble with him is that you know what he's looking to do. He's not looking to go to the paint--that's not his game. He wants you to bite on one of his moves so he generates enough space to settle for a jumper. He feasted against the likes of Houston because dumbass McHale was switching bigs onto him all game and expecting them to guard Curry 1-on-1. Wanna know a secret? Curry started going off when for whatever reason Blatt took Delly off him and Tristan Thompson was switching onto him and being forced to guard him 1 on 1, just like the Houston series. Delly's all about bodying dudes up and sticking to them like glue and he has not once bitten on any of Steph's moves. Rather, Steph has been forced into a lot of turnovers.

Settle down champ.

I'm giving him credit. His ball denial has been the key. Not his on ball defense. Watch the games, hell I just posted the highlights from last night. Curry without a screen was getting where ever he wanted with Delly on him.

You're talking about the Curry who was a ghost until the 4th? When Tristan Thompson was being forced to guard him? Like I literally just stated? :rudy:

Listen breh I know where you stand here. Just let the series rock.

He's not an above the rim finisher. That's never been his game, he's "chucking" 3s because he's the GOAT shooter to play the game. Did you see the shots he was making at the end of the game? That's why he's taking 3s.

He's lethal from distance and in the midrange. Just because he's not going all the way to the rim doesn't mean he isn't beating guys off the dribble
:heh:

This logic is stupid

if you actually watched the game cause you clearly didn't :heh: you will realize that curry went off primarily against Shumpert. delladova wasn't on him most of the 4th due to dehydration.

Yep. They switched Shumpert onto him as the primary defender. And Curry was calling for picks that forced Tristan Thompson to switch onto him 1-on-1. That's the only reason he started to eat. I'm convinced nikka didn't watch the game.

Delly's ball denial, and his trail defense after getting help off the PnR has been great. But in 1 on 1 situations, without help Steph gets anywhere he wants.

if that's the case why haven't steph started doing more 1 on 1 situations :drink:
I don't know, Kerr needs to adjust a bit. Too many off ball actions for Curry, and Delly isn't helping off of him at all. The offense low key should take a page out of what CLE is doing and just give Steph the ball and let him create for himself and others.

It reminds me of the Heat/Bulls series in 2011 when the Bulls would constantly run PnR with Rose and the Heat would have the bigs capable of hedging well and switching along with Rose's defender trailing after the pick. It's too much clutter in their offense, they need to simplify it a touch IMO.

Whoa, lay off the Curry handles slander :whoa:

He can put make CP3 six-step and dribble through three defenders putting up a turnaround 3-pointer.

Curry bringing up the ball into a rhythm three (step back or not) is still money.

My guess is he's still out there second guessing himself and his decisions.

Which is why is you really watch basketball you see Steph Curry is one dimensional in that he make 3 pointers and that's it...
One-dimensional??? :dahell:
He can shoot jump shots inside the 3 with the same amount of accuracy. He's a good passer. He can drive to the net for the layup. He's just opting to go with the three more often to drive up points faster. He can even throw a good flop once in awhile. He ain't on LeBron's level, but still.

You didn't watch the game if you didn't notice that Curry can get what he wants when Delly is guarding him one on one. Steph struggled because of the defensive scheme and Delly's strength in denying the ball.
