The delivery might not have been kosher, but yes she should respect the environment and not wear words with curse words visible to children, the elderly, etc.

So either she wore the hat during check in and no one said anything or she put it in her carry on then put it on her head just before take off and either the Flight attendants said something to her or they didn't and they alerted the Captain and instead of then escorting her off the plane the Captain decided to delay the flight just so he made sure she UNDERSTOOD HIM

If she took off the hat and told him to Shut the fukk up and fly the plane He should have done so unless you feel that he challenged his authority as a white boy to fly the plane because a Hat is somehow disruptive to flight operations.
