Aint no way in hell Zach Lavine, fresh off an all star appearance, is going to be fine playing off ball with two players that he is better than. If the bulls plan is to have Lavine play off ball a lot then this truly is going to be a disaster
He needs to sacrifice. He is a very good off-ball player.

Zo is a halfcourt SG, full court PG. LaVine and DeRozan can split ball handling duties in the halfcourt.

The problem with a lot of players today in the NBA is that they have no clue nor want to be an off-ball player at times even if it would benefit the team.

Difference being that at least John Collins can stay healthy, which is something that neither Lauri nor Zach Collins have shown that they're able to do :ld:

It's the same reason I cracked jokes yesterday about them signing Collins when Portland didn't even want to offer him the $7 million to stay.

It's the Indiana way of thinking in that you sign injury prone players and act surprised when they can't even stay on the court.

The spurs are a rebuilding team so taking chances on young players with injury histories is fine because, well thats what rebuilding teams do. If I had to pick between Lauri and a random future first round pick in 2025, I'm taking Lauri since he has a modern nba skillset right now at a position of need for the spurs right now. Maybe they feel comfortable with Luka stepping into that role so they would rather have the pick instead of 3 and a half white guys with redundant skill sets though

The Bulls had zero playmakers and was a playoff team before Lavine had Covid

They added two nikkas that can actually
move the ball

added another efficient offensive weapon to go along with Vuccimane and Lavine

added two solid perimeter defenders in Caruso and Ball

If Pat Will takes a leap they’ll be even more of a problem

And they lost …Tomas Satoransky,Garrett Temple and Thad Young
and nikkas talking about the play-in game :dead:

Just say y’all only watch the Nets ,Lakers and Clippers and keep it moving
nikkas on here asking about Coby still being a pg….coli don’t watch basketball games, just YouTube casuals who watch enough just to argue with men that they don’t know lol

you're completely missing the fact that after this offseason we would have zero cap flexibility moving forward and this money being spent now couldnt be used in the future

they are smart to go all in post Vuce trade and before Zach gets his max

Zach chose to wait to sign his max so we could significantly upgrade the roster, and this is what it looks like
You know what, if you're happy, I'm not gonna argue. :hubie:

All I know is Derozan isn't a needle mover and Reinsdorf is a notoriously cheap owner. Is he going deep into the luxury tax to field a second round playoff exit in a year or two when Lavine needs a max and Vuc has to be re-signed? :hubie:
