again, there's nothing of substance in what you just posted. How do you say it's a misconception that the US is a country in one post, back track in the next post, and then spend the rest of the time dismissing the fact that you said that it's a misconception that the US is a country. You do know I quoted you right?
Again, reading is fundamental. My point was that comparing The U.S directly to Slovenia because they are "countries" is pretty stupid.
Think of it this way. Rhode Island and California are two states within the U.S. They are of the same POLITICAL importance, but in terms of GDP and land mass, they are not comparable.
SLovenia and the U.S. are not comparable geographically, politically, or economically. The U.S. presents itself as a single nation militarily, but the staes are allowed to conduct their own foreign policy. A "province" is not able to do that.
The main point is that the U.S.' s direct comparison should be to the E.U, and that slovenia and alabama are a fair comparison.
