Any smart GM would give that nikka 60 mill with the quickness. Get that man a real point guard and watch him flourish.

Talent wise sure but I think the guy has problems upstairs which might prevent him from ever reaching his potential. He just doesn't look like he's all there in the head. That's just me though. Kings might need to provide a 24/7 365 mentor to go along with the new contract.

Everybody knows Reke fizzled his sophomore year in the league. Cousins has played with mediocre nikkas since he's been in the league. He's never played with an above average point guard nor a above average power forward or wing.
Now he has both of those. That still doesn't mean he doesn't have to step his shyt up on and off the court. The reality remains that if the Kings don't pan out, he may very well wind up being the big reason why, which is why the deal carries HIGH RISK /HIGH REWARD. He can't play the way he's playing now and have it lead to something good. He still has to improve.

The irony in you saying that is that Tyreke probably had one of his better all around seasons just this past season. His biggest issue really now is that he has trouble staying healthy (this would scare the shyt outta me if I were a Pelican fan because him and Gordon together may not get you 115 games combined) and Sacramento didn't know where to play him (they used him at small forward for crying out loud, all because Petrie drafted 18 PG's and signed 18 more on top of that.)

I agree, if he didn't have those mental issues he'd be getting a 5 year max deal.

like I said, Vasquez and McLemore (especially McLemore. He has #1 overall talent. If only he knew it). If they choose to keep Vasquez, he'll be a real help for him, but McLemore's someone DMC has to lean on moving forward. For better or worse, the Kings are gambling on shyt going right with those two

Vasquez helps a lot but I don't think McLemore will ever amount to anything in the NBA. He has talent and athletic ability but he's to lazy and doesn't wanna rise to the occasion.

Vasquez ain't above average and McLemore isn't a point guard. I'm saying give that nikka a co-star. McLemore is unproven, dude could be a bust like Wesley Johnson for all we know.

you said a wing, which McLemore is. They're rolling the dice on him. At the 7th pick, worth a gamble. He could be the '13-'14 Bradley Beal for all we know. They're at least trying to give him the players he can grow with.

and Vasquez averaged 14, 4, and 9 on a team that was rebuilding. His play if he keeps this up can really help the Kings.

Think of it this way too: Nevermind that it's Sacramento and the team's still trying to get things going again, what established player that's relatively high profile is gonna wanna play with his crazy ass and walk him through shyt? That's where DMC needs to get his mind right. As talented as he is, that shyt keeps players away. The league wants to see him succeed, but they wanna see it happen from a distance first

Sacramento ain't a free agent friendly type of place. They have to be willing to trade a lottery pick or 2 in order to acquire talent. They could've found a way to get Holiday if they were willing to trade their pick.

thats my big cuz :to:

Cousins needs a strong coach (think thibs, swagovich, doc rivers) and a winning environment to truly flourish. He hates losing.

It was good the deal got done BEFORE the season started. Everyone knew this was coming . The last thing needed was a season-wide speculation of a contract extension or a trade. Especially in a smaller market like Sacramento.

Talent aside, dude needs to grow up already. From his in-court antics to his shyt off the court. Yeah, he can get away with more shyt here than in like NY, LA or MIA, but don't take advantage of that. I know, I saw him in the VIP of the club last weekend :lolbron: He's the franchise, the LEADER, with Shaq investing 4 percent of the King's stake and mentorship to do so.

Above all, with this, Shaq coming in and more about the new upcoming arena's going to look like, its been a wild week here :whew:

I'm really happy that Shaq is trying to mentor him. Cuz will respect what he has to say. Those wack ass coaches the kings have had, I can only imagine the :upsetfavre: stares cousins gave them

Got a mixture of :whew: :blessed: and :to: going right now.

He was going to get more somewhere else after this season. He has been busting his ass this offseason droppjng lbs and putting in work to be in 100 percent beast mode this year. Its crazy for all his knuckle-headness he had a couple DOMINANT games last year.

This is just big for the franchise that has seen players walk cuz ownership couldnt/didnt want to spend, Im ecstatic they got this done now to avoid a year of questions. With new coaching and Shaq having his legit protege to mold in his image (hes prob the only player that will get Boogie to stop shooting jumpers) it just feels good to have a legit guy in Sacramento now.

Its a shame they couldnt pay Reke too I feel with a vision the both of them could of been a legit duo together. Tyreke was a victim of terrible ownership and coaching I :salute: him for getting his money too he will kill it in the big easy with Brow.

Im not even gonna make any predictions about this team this year but now that they got a legit nba sized pass first pg in Vasquez and some exciting rookies this team will finally be fun to watch again. Once they balance out this roster they will be back in the playoff hunt again.:blessed:
