Why did the Kings just let go of Isiah thomas for nothing in return?

They should have traded him for something before he went to PHX. didnt he average 20 and 6, they coulda got something back for him.

Dude is completely done with that organization, they should explore trading him, yeah he's locked up but he's not going to give any kind of real effort, he basically stopped trying on defense since they fired Malone. He was among the best rim protectors on the league before they canned Malone.
