) we can't compare a one year aberration to a decade of pathetic competition. As bad as as the NFC south is (and it's terrible) we can't compare a one year aberration to a decade of pathetic competition.

The thing is, it's not a decade. Even when the roles were reversed and the West was the "bad" conference they had teams getting in with under .500 records.
The NBA is a league where the majority of teams make the playoffs. You're bound to have teams that don't have winning records making it in![]()

Nikka get the f*ck outta here with your fact finding azz the eastern conference is easily the worst division in sports for about the last 15 years now![]()
Look at this year. Even if you took the top 16 teams record wise, the 41 win Bucks & 40 win Celtics still would've made the playoffs. shyt is inevitable when majority of teams make it in.
Even in your beloved NFL if they took 8 playoff teams in each conference, guaranteed there would be 8-8 & 7-9 teams making the playoffs damn near every year.

Nikka there are starters in the east now that wouldn't have made the d league in the 90s![]()

While the deal that would send Cousins to the Lakers appears unlikely, the noise surrounding Cousins and his Kings situation isn't about to die down anytime soon. According to a person with knowledge of the situation, Cousins' camp is clearly in favor of him heading south to the Kings' old Pacific Division rival. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the situation. Truth be told, the tone of this tale shouldn't surprise anyone who has been watching this unfold these past four months.
When the Kings first considered hiring George Karl as their coach back in February, the pushback from Cousins' camp – namely Dan Fegan and Jarrin Akana of Relativity Sports – came almost immediately. And while it appeared that Cousins and Karl found a way to work together down the stretch of the regular season after he was hired, Karl's mid-April comments that, in essence, everyone is trade-able seemed to confirm all the concerns coming from Cousins' side at the start of their pairing.
It was, in the eyes of some, the beginning of their end.
George Karl already alienated another star player.
