Kings need to learn from the Warriors C Webb drama from the 90s. Always keep the player and fire the coach.

In this case though, I blame Vivek. How's he gonna say he wants an exciting GSW style of basketball, when your franchise player is a top center? If Vivek's hires/decisions revolve around duplicating a Warrior's style of play, then he simply needs to trade Cousins.

If your offense goes through a player like Curry, yeah your team can run.
If your offense goes through Cousins (it should), yeah you're not going to be a running team. Not like the Warriors anyway.

Be indecisive organization then make questionable decisions to frustrate the development of the league's top center, brehs.

The Lakers and Sacramento Kings continue to discuss a trade for Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The Lakers' offer includes the second overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft and "might be the best offer the Kings can get" at this point, according to the person, although the Kings have publicly stated they are not interested in trading Cousins.

I agree. Viveks been a horrible owner so far. Hes only been the owner for like 2 seasons and already has gone through 3 coaches and a gm. I never understand why some coaches/owners/gms force a certain style of play. You work with your teams strength.

Not really

But I'm surprised he's willing to give up smart in the right deal tho so that makes things a little more interesting in the next two days for me

Well, smart is a middle prospect at best.

And Olynyk isn't a prospect at all.

So on that level, it makes a lot of sense.

He's gone. Don't know where tho. Lakers are the hot team to say but I can't see the Kings trading their franchise player (Top-10 player in the league IMO) within the division

Smart is a better prospect than anybody on your horrible joke of a team so put the Hatorade down and hit the bricks young man

Yeah, but my team is asscheeks. That's no compliment.

The garbageness of my franchise allows me to look at others. And Marcus Smart is a small 2, who doesn't run an offense well, lacks playmaking skills or shot creating ability.

A strong, stocky, defensive-minded shooting guard is no more than a middle prospect.

If it makes you feel better, I like him more than Devin Booker. :gladbron:

Can the Kings get a better offer than the #2 pick and Clarkson ? :lupe: I don't think so. We got all the power. If the Kings say no they gotta deal with Karl and Cuz beefing all season, the Lakers just end up picking # 2.
