even without Boogie, Lakers are getting awfully close. Clarkson, Randle, and Okafor is a nice core...we're a few good FA signings away.

It was a bad move. Artest wasn't a good fit, was 6 years older and played like an idiot on the offensive end.

We were a worse team with Artest.

All of that is not attributed to Artest. The team was trying to go through the West for a third year in a row, Kobe was not fully healthy in the playoffs, we faced better teams in the playoffs etc. It was a team trying to to repeat, and they did Ariza wasn't saving us from getting swept in 2011

It wouldn't, which is why I don't think this has any shot of getting done.

We got excited because some reports didn't mention Randle or Clarkson as being part of the trade. Now was it always unlikely for that to actually happen? Of course. But we've, LWO, been feeling ourselves lately, so we ran with it.

Are you forgetting the ill advised shots Artest took in the final minutes of that very game vs the Suns?

Are you forgetting the costly turnover and dumb shots Artest took in the 4th in game 5 when it was a 1 possession game? Just stop.

Every 6 or so months I re-watch those series. Yes Artest had some big plays here and there but he played like garbage most of the time.

You guys only remember the good moments. I remember everything.
