There are some complicated issues between Iranians and people that identify as Persians. My buddy's FIL is an Obama/Hilary run of the mill lib and he's hype because the Shah's son might end up back in power. Doesn't care if they're a puppet of the US and Israeli government.

Yeah, I know a woman I guess you could call a friend who’s Canadian. Before the war, we went back and forth about how Israel getting involved would do nothing but slaughter civilians and turn the region into another Syria. She legitimately told me she didn’t care and just wanted to see her people free. I asked her multiple times if she was really okay with millions of her friends and family dying indiscriminately from Israeli bombing campaigns. She doesn't care and believes in Israel, she just wants the Shah’s son back in power. I told her the Shah was a brutal dictator himself, and she still didn’t care. I honestly feel bad for the people who are actually in Iran right now. I care about their well-being a lot more
