I mean you're saying out loud the reason why I say semantics. It never mattered how far left or not she was. If generic moderate white man gives an inch, 10 miles will be taken. But perception to these idiots is everything. It's a stupid narrative but that's the inherent media advantage the American right of today has. They don't need context, explanation or nuance. And it's something I've yet to see Democrats have a real core strategy to neutralize, if it's even possible they even can.

Are you asking if Democrats can neutralize the racism conservatives have been incubating since the dawn of this country?

Rural destitute cacs are willing to die over racism (civil war)

We'll be long dead before a dent will be made in that if that ever happens to begin with which is questionable and if it does does it get sabotaged and at what point. Humanity really has a terrible track record with this. I'm just saying what is your overall long-term strategy, your vision for the country, your north star. And then what is the most concise way you can market it that has the most reach possible and ways that make sense to the lowest common denominator. Again harder for democrats because large-tent and you have to appeal to so many different people who are fundamentally at odds with each other. (And one of the reasons why I think the two party system is archaic and doesn't reflect the best interests of the American people but we are stuck with it.) But you HAVE to find that unifying thing in this two party. Easier said than done especially in this selfish ass country we live in.

As someone who lurks in here my general issue is there's a lot of screaming at walls and a ton of short term thinking. Especially with those who want to see democrats win. One thing I give the right's political apparatus credit for is they've been on code and playing the long game for 50+ years. Even down to the little things everyone takes for granted. Example being how they control the vast majority of local network affiliates stations in the country. Even if their goals are vile and reductive as all hell, they understand power and control. Something most people don't have a grasp of.

The irony in this as much as you guys bytch about the "far left" (heavy air quotes) they're the only ones who are fighting to actually try and evolve. The problem is there's a lack of understanding of how we got here and connecting it to both the present and where you're trying to go. While everyone else trying to hold on to days gone by. The days gone by they're trying to hold onto being different depending who you talk to.
