IMO TCM represents the median white male that would vote for Democrats. Instead of getting frustrated by people like him, the wisest thing would be to nuance your messaging so that you both can find common ground.
Why should there be some type of compromise with people like TCM? Because we’re in a democracy and his type of mentality makes up a majority of the country.

I work with the average median white male democrat, and known of them from what I know of want democrats to mimic the policies of Donald trump. None of them is pushing for democrats to go full blown fascist in every avenue, TCM is literally praising trump at every turn, he is not a democrat.

If TCM is telling the truth and he’s only voted for Democrat Presidents, you need to hold his vote because if you continue to lose people like him then we’ll continue to lose the popular vote.
I think you both can find common ground and a common platform that you both would agree on.
Economically you both agree on a lot of things but socially you guys differ. If the messaging and strategy changed but the policy remained relatively the same I think you both could agree as well.
For example in immigration he thinks the left wants open borders, obviously you don’t want that and obviously you both agree criminals should be deported.
That should be the main messaging with also running on immigration reform from a leftists perspective that will fix the problems we face while still maintaining our humanity.
I think TCM would agree that hard working illegals should be granted some path or citizenship if they’ve proven they’re a net benefit for society.
The issue is a blanket open gate for asylum seekers which led to them using tax payer dollars to survive until their court hearing

As far as the immigration goes, I think he’s swayed by trumps rhetoric but he can be swayed back with the right messaging which is the politician’s job. To convince swing votes that they have the right ideas

Why do you think the Obama to Trump vote exists? It’s because both politicians were great at messaging. Most voters aren’t policy wonks but they’re swayed by vibes, messaging and narratives.
As you can see he doesn’t hate Mamdani like he does other leftists. It’s just the Gaza shyt which is tainted by poor electoral messaging that soured him on Zohran.
