I live in Louisiana, I personally think it’s crazy talk when I see progressives talking about “Well, if you reach out to these republicans in red states, you have to offer them something!!” Dawg, these republicans down here are super religious & think all democrats are going to Hell. They don’t want ANYTHING democrats are selling. You can have the greatest message in the world, show them concrete proof how Trump is hurting them, THEY DO NOT CARE. Those are facts. The best the democrat party can hope for in the deep red states is appeal to the young black ppl who are apathetic towards voting.

They definitely don't care. I lived in Tennessee. Voting Republican to them is part of their identity. It's God, Family, Football, and Conservative Values down there

Voter registration is an indicator not an end all be all. I already agreed that is was disturbing trend but you're leaning in real heavy before we get our first opportunity to even see if your theory has any merit.

What you should be more concerned with is gaining headway with the Independents and Republicans who are going vote D in the midterms but R in the General.
