Not really surprising tbh theirs a reason oppos went with years olr social issues slander rather than policy. He's easily the best candidate
Yeah, my only worry about him is ending up with another Fetterman. The criticisms about him are legit though, I read somewhere that he's been aware that the tattoos are Nazi related for at like ten years, he definitely needs to explain that and some of the other controversies. It's up to the voters in Maine to weigh the controversies against his explanations.
My big pet peeve with this whole situation is that, just one cycle after the debacle in 2024, Schumer thinks it's a good idea to nominate a 77 year old for a 6 year term. Like, how f*cking clueless is the leadership of this party?
Imma be honest, its poor judgement to be a grown man and get a tatoo without knowing what it is. Its fukking stupid.
That would worry me a lot and I am not sure why that is being dismissed.
I don't think dude is a nazi and nothing in his past shows he is even a racist, outside of this tat. I also do believe this is a DNC hit job, but its still a bad look.
Platner should just apologize and say it was stupid and how he is better now. Same with the blackwater stuff.

That's what happens when you run normal people as candidates, most politicans have carefully curated careers and live very careful public relationships friendly lifestyles. Not defending anything for anyone, but we as a society are going to struggle with the idea of late Gen X and Millenials coming to be elected officials due to online fukkery when they were younger.
The permanency of the internet is going to be interesting to watch this unfold over the next 10 years or so.
People can change but folks running for office that are in their 40’s or even 30’s, it’s gonna be some shyt out there![]()
Online fukkery is one thing. I got time for trolling and shyt takes unless it’s a pattern, like that GOP chat. Not defending anything for anyone, but we as a society are going to struggle with the idea of late Gen X and Millenials coming to be elected officials due to online fukkery when they were younger.

Tbf to him lots of people gets tattoos they don't know the meaning behind and generally only care about how they look—not the meaning behind them. Even with the foreign language tattoos most don't even have the ability to read Chinese Arabic or whatever.Online fukkery is one thing. He drunkingly got a tat.
How can Schumer nominate another person without their consent? Platner popped up out of nowhere.Yeah, my only worry about him is ending up with another Fetterman.
