they refuse to cede an inch of ground, no matter how unpopular or common sense the issue is, because to do so would be "letting the other side win". so we get these bullshyt positions from unserious people, who get to pat themselves on the back because they're "better" than everyone else
That ans Sam's argument is that Ezra ignores corruption ( which he does) and not that red tape isn't a problem. The problem isn't only regulations, its additionally private corporations and corporate greed. Ezra refuses to call out greed, because most of those individuals are his abundance plan donors.

sad that the Dems can't just take the common sense position, and side with 80% of the country, instead of being bullied by a bunch of weird fringe lunatics into taking a laughably stupid and anti-science position
Dems did take the common sense position ( one of the only) by stating these issues are up local school boards and professional leagues not the federal government. Now if you'd like to keep obsessing over trannys we have a thread for you.

Why do you think Democrats were given the mandate to extend covid-era ACA subsidies, when they lost the election?
genuine question; where does this leverage or power come from? they WANT those subsidies, but they didn't win the election. Republicans wanted a lot of things in 2021; they didn't get them.
Fetterman has decided that opening the government, and keeping food stamps going on November 1st, is more important. that's his right. why do progressives want people to go hungry on november 1st?
