Progressives have compromised on just about every issue except human rights. Running on the public option would be a compromise on healthcare and would garner massive progressive support. Running on student debt reduction would be a compromise on education and would garner massive progressive support. Running on a modest wealth/billionaire tax or hike in the corporate tax rate would be a compromise on the economy and would garner massive progressive support. Running on massive investment in green energy or the green economy would be a compromise on climate and would garner massive progressive support. Even the ask for an arms embargo on Israel was a compromise. Progressives are looking for direction and good faith, not perfection or purity. Centrists and right wingers like yourself just say progressives are uncompromising because you're cynically trying to paint a picture of an unreasonable faction who can't and shouldn't even be negotiated with.
