The democratic party will still lose elections when they don't focus on the majority issues. Stop letting the loud minority dictate the message. It needs to focus on the American worker, protecting American jobs and providing access to Healthcare, education and a better quality of life
Issues like Israel, Zionism and capitalism? :mjlol:

Dems rightfully explain the policies they want and show that republicans are the reason everything is regressing and bad and yall say stuff like this

That’s a fair response, but it still doesn’t address the core question: why would voters choose a candidate whose central economic promise was to implement policies that would raise their prices? It’s not enough to critique Democratic messaging—at some point we also have to hold the electorate accountable. If people vote for a candidate who openly guarantees policies that increase costs, and then complain about those increased costs, the problem isn’t just with the politicians. It reflects a deeper failure of political understanding among the voters themselves.

Because white/christian nationalism and culture wars are more important than the economy to most voters.

Not sure why people want to ignore the elephant in the room.

Yep. They are always going to have an upper hand because they have that to fall back on at the end of the day to bring them all together.

If this is accurate, how would Democrats ever possibly win the Presidency, Senate, or House? How could Obama have come even remotely close to winning the Presidency, let alone dominate McCain as he did in the 2008 election?

White Christian nationalism has been a problem since at least the 60s, so it's not really a legitimate justification for dems shytty candidates and party platform losing to trump 2xs.

2008 isnt 2025. His election is part of the reason we are in this situation of them fighting for the survival of white supremacy right now. They saw the country changing for the better and reacted accordingly. The response to a black president was 65+ million people voting for Donald Trump three times. We have to take the L for thinking white supremacy was going to go out with a whimper instead of a democracy destroying back lash.

This post has been brought to you by a 2024 Cornell west voter who thinks Arabics were vindicated by the election of Donald Trump and comfortably spouts racist tropes against black women. Like and subscribe if you want more.

Much, much different social environment in 2008 compared to now.

Social media is way different now than it was in 2008 and it's way easier to promote white Christian nationalism. Also we were stuck in Iraq at the time, the economy was in a recession, and Bush was very unpopular.

Basically it was perfect storm and any Dem would've won the general election that year.

Why are there so many Trump/Obama voters? Or instance, a bunch of voters as who swung from Obama to Trump. Same with counties, states, etc.

Are you suggesting that voters who swung from Obama to Trump got more racist in between those election?

Also, what would be the explanation for voters who swung from Biden to Trump?
