They're paralyzed right now unfortunately. They think that they'll be made fun and caricatured as soon as they start talking about how bad this is. And if they sit silent it looks like capitulating.
Instead of just going on there and articulating exactly how the chaos is unfolding they opted for the latter than former, cause of fears of being the "whiny Democrat".
