...maybe they should just try offering things that make people's lives better? Like universal healthcare? Or free college? Or free pre-k? Or family leave?
Nah man just run on morality don't actually offer anything I'm sure we will govern will for years!

Yes they can do that during the primaries and the election but preaching about that isn’t going to do shyt when republicans are literally gutting decades of progressive and liberal social programs

If you’re referring to what they should have ran on prior to the election then I agree but the median voter wasn’t going to be swayed by social programs when the winning candidate ran on getting rid of them

I understand why you say this, but it's an example of the total cowardice and fearful posture that has come to define the Democrats. Instead of seeing an opportunity to position themselves as the defenders of society against an increasingly unpopular opponent and press your growing advantage, all they can see is the downsides of how they might fukk it up. So they quietly sit down and wait to be given a cookie instead of taking it. Weakness.
Sitting and waiting is ok you know. Save your energy. Stop confusing action with progress.

This was all you had to say.
Nice try, but you're just cherry-picking the least forceful part of my comment to dodge the real point. Jeffries is being weak in the face of an authoritarian GOP, and instead of communicating their unique threat, he's spewing passive nonsense. You erased everything else because you can't actually defend that, which suggest that even you know that's wrong, so why act like it isn't?

When you say things like this that means you want an immoral party.
You want Democrats to take the immoral position and abandon a marginalized group. Sure, they don't have much institutional power right now, but that doesn't excuse weak rhetoric. People don't want empty moralizing, they want to see real resistance through forceful messaging and actually building awareness. That is a pretty low bar to clear.

What marginalized group do I want to be abandoned?

I’m so confused why you all want Dems to waste energy on political battles republicans are actively losing with minimal democratic effort.

Trump shytting on the foreign policy their previous lord and savior Reagan solidified yet none of the Republicans are saying shyt. Y’all need to stop pretending like Republicans are strong, they aren’t.

They’re bullies and only find their nuts when they’re going against opposition that play by the rules
You're confusing the base for the politicians. The base doesn't give a shyt about Reaganite neocon foreign policy anymore, Trump's rejection of it was a major selling point for MAGA. It's the numerically small establishment that cares about that shyt and is being silenced in favor of Trump's populism. That's the lesson the Democrats should learn.

Do you know what ACA expansions are?
...not universal healthcare? :heh:

So do we abandon the student debt crisis or have we moved on?
what? how is offering free college abandoning the student debt crisis?

The Biden administration literally had a plan for that

Have you heard of Vice President Kamala Harris?

I agree with you but what I’m saying is Republicans are just as much of bytches as yall say democrats are because they are absolutely unwilling to stand up to Trump even if Trump tramples on the principles that they claim to hold dear.

At least Democrats are willing to stand up to Trump.

Republicans standing up to Obama or Biden isn’t the same as Democrats standing up to Trump.

Let me know when Republicans throw Trump in the bushes like Democrats did to Biden.

Republicans didn’t even get rid of Trump after Jan 6th when it was clear Trump didn’t care about their lives

Even *if* Republicans are struggling, that doesn't mean Democrats should stay passive. Forceful messaging helps shape public perception and mobilize support. If people only show up to vote against Republicans, we'll just end up in the same spot later on. If you want to build something that lasts, you gotta get our there and let people know you're willing to truly fight on their behalf.
