I'm finally in the mental space to go through this thread.

Back in 2020 if Elizabeth Warren (my first choice) was the candidate, I'm voting. If Bernie was, If Biden was, If Kamala was, If Buttigieg was, I would've voted. It's sad that Progressives only want to vote if it's their candidate otherwise they're tuned out and trying to sabotage the election. Like deadass if Bernie won the primary either time, I would've voted for dude and supported. Why is that not reciprocated by these weirdos?

Because the democratic party has been a undemocratic party since 2016

2016 bernie won the delegates they chose Hilary at the convention
2020 they consolidated around biden so nernie wouldn't win
2024 they essentially fixed the primary to force biden as the candidate

It's been nasty work since at least 2016 and has turned off a large segment of voters. Republicans don't do this trump had to go thru the gauntlet multiple times. Democrats let their consultant class and establishment pick who they think people want instead of the voters

Trump has charisma and lies nonstop. That’s why he won. He’s good at communication. He can just lie nonstop and make it appear that he’s telling the truth. Yeah, especially when the alternative is a legit fascist. Maybe in 2016 when Trump was unknown but not when he outlined exactly how he was going to destroy his enemies and unravel centuries old institutions.
