I have no idea how Democrats think throwing trans people under the bus is some kind of smart election strategy. Republicans have an entire media machine built to distort reality. And we live in a country full of people extremely susceptible to their message. They don't care what Democrats actually do. Dems could disavow trans rights tomorrow, and the machine would still pump out disinformation calling them radical groomers the next day. All capitulation does is show Republicans that this strategy works, so they'll push even more brazen lies next time.

All this does is demoralize the people who actually care about civil rights and were willing to show up for you. It's self-sabotage.

And sitting down with Charlie Kirk? Sitting down with a virulent racist who thinks we have low IQs and are mentally inferior compared to everyone else?
