You stated "socialism doesn't work" and I presented you with a socialist institution (public schooling). So is your claim that a public schooling system doesn't work and should be replaced by a private schooling system? You bring up "plenty" of public schools needing to be propped up by government printing money for pensions, yet the exact same can be said for "plenty" of corporations, and I don't see you saying financial crashes and recessions prove that capitalism doesn't work.

The degradation of the material and spiritual conditions of modernity raising the salience of the inherent contradictions of our capitalist-dominated society leading to an increase in class consciousness amongst the working class.

To put it in simpler terms, when we hit critical mass of lonely, unmarried, godless gig economy workers unable to afford a house or childcare or healthcare while every hour a crypto billionaire adds the GDP of a central European nation to their wealth coffers, things are going to get shaky.
