Who is your favorite leftist talking head? Ken Klippenstien? didn’t he get his start on TYT?
When you have ideological views you don't stand a favorite talking heads, when you fo you end up defending indefensible positions like Joe biden funding a genocide

While trying to attack me you’re proving my point that you were offended by the ad :hubie:

stop playing stupid. you know goddamn well that this is exactly the kind of soft, PC nonsense that's explicitly associated with progressives these days :childplease:

i WISH it wasn't :mjlol: if i haven't made that clear enough
You keep trying to make this a progressive issue because that's what fits your narrative but this is actually the brush that all democrats are being painted with. You just want it to be a progressive issue when it's actually an issue with the core of the party.
A lot of revisionism of history. Cenk was on YouTube before @AquaCityBoy was born and twitter existed
I don't think him being around for a while necessarily makes him a leader. His start on YouTube was while Air America still existed. Curious to read something about when the concept of the "online left" first became popularized.

Unscientific but I did a search on Google and im not seeing anything earlier than 2017 for "the online left" returning results. That's 12 years after Cenk launched the YouTube show. It also doesn't account for the constant ambiguity of what "the left" may refer to.

imagine a world where democrats could just enjoy an ad featuring this chick, without worrying about someone being offended :blessed:

but instead we'll continue to cede ground to the republicans :blessed:

i bet if it was an ad saying a white tranny had good genes, you wouldn't have criticized it :laff:

Respectfully Cenk has had a smiley on this site since 2012. To say he wasn’t influential is crazy. No google searches are necessary

He was definitely more of a leader than any of the chapo guys. I can’t even name one
To be clear, I wouldn't characterize Cenk or CTH as "leaders of the online left," but maybe I'm unclear about what you mean when you use the term "online left." Perhaps this a first wave second wave thing.

He was the leader of "the online left" because he had a YouTube network?

He’s was one of the most influential leaders of the online left at his peak. He’s washed now
but he paved the way for a lot of left of center influencers of today. I don’t even know why you’re debating this other than him going mask off is embarrassing for the online left.

If not Cenk then who?

My only contention was that Chapo had more juice than Cenk did. I don't think either were leaders of any kind of movement. I don't consider leader and influential to be synonyms. :whoa:
