This was a topic last month as MLP tweeted about it late June. There should indeed be more AC in public infrastructure (hospitals, government buildings, schools and so on) but her idea is just short-term low-hanging fruit populism because there was a heat wave when she said it.is this true?? @Liu Kang
There are already subsidies for citizens to buy AC and other thermal confort solutions like better insulation, sunscreens, better performance windows, green energy production systems and so on, it's called MaPrimeRenov now but the thing has been in place for a long time.
MLP's plan is just buy AC units and be done with it with no long term thinking about climate change. Having cities with properly insulated buildings, more greenery and parks and less concrete, is what we should aim long term to mitigate climate change.
AC doesn't solve the problem, it just helps dealing with the effects which is fine but isn't the solution by itself.

Of course she was, because you can barely read or write
