You all love to give Republicans credit for "doing something" yet disappear when that "something" results in theatrics, something illegal or morally reprehensible. Yet, you can only give Democrats credit if their "something" exceeds expectations.

Look at the bar you've unconsciously set.
I can’t get you guys to accept “males can not be females” but you’re mad when I’m frustrated with democrats for supporting indefensible positions?

Democrats must be strong on crime but lenient on sentencing and and parole and probation. We have lost legitimacy on so many easy issues because we wanted to appeal to tone deaf activists and professorial legalese that obfuscates actual pragmatic politics.

I want democrats to win. I can’t keep making this clear point. It’s like you aren’t listening to me.

My gut feeling is that Napoleon is constantly trying to couch the fact that he is now, in fact, a Republican, by trying to claim that it is the general public that supports his own actual policy preferences.

He leans right on virtually every major policy question I can think of (I don't know about his position on climate change) and only supports democrats because he is black and republicans are a white nationalist party.

Numbers require context, how many of those voters are disaffected Democrats who don't trust the party leadership?

Quick question, why do you consider yourself a democrat in the year 2025? On what major policy questions are you more aligned more with Dems than Republicans? This is not a litmus tests, I don't consider it an insult to call someone a Republican, I'm genuinely curious as to why you still consider yourself a Democrat when most of your positions that I've read align solidly with the Republican party.

Jesus Christ bro.

I can’t win this argument if we’re not playing by the same game. I can’t keep doing YOUR work for you. How about you post some goddamn data?

I posted a poll from left sources.

I posted polls from centrist sources

I posted polls from center right wing sources.

what more do you want?

Yall are not even trying to counter anything I’m saying with expert non-partisan sources or evidence or inference or argumentation.

Dont argue with me. Argue with that poll.

YOU HAVE UNWINNABLE POSITIONS ON MANY ISSUES. FIX THAT SO WE CAN WIN.

WE LOST THE POPULAR VOTE. You can’t just Gish gallop me to death on this.

Can you answer what Dem policy positions you agree with or nah?

Because it's a nonsensical strawman argument.

If we use your logic, they're doing "something" - fighting for the basic rights of ALL people - but YOU don't like the "something" so you have deemed it a waste of time and a weakness for the party.

Democrats must be strong on crime but lenient on sentencing and and parole and probation. We have lost legitimacy on so many easy issues because we wanted to appeal to tone deaf activists and professorial legalese that obfuscates actual pragmatic politics.

You're confusing D's fighting legal overreach and draconian punishments that was at one time masked as R's being tough on crime. Perfect example is the concept of "defunding the police", which was about de-militarizing the police.

Another example of D's doing "something" but it didn't meet or exceed your expectations, so you're happy to shoot the R's bail under the guise that "they're tougher on crime". Crime has been down nationally since COVID but people are going to think they should feel unsafe when the POTUS is deploying the National Guard indiscriminately sowing chaos.

You're terminally online and haven't developed a level of discernment that keeps you from being swallowed by constant propaganda.

I prefer democrat solutions to all of the issues but there are several missteps on these issues which causes democrats to be undermined from actually delivering.

  • Trans issues prevent us from winning and addressing more serious issues
  • defending illegal immigrants prevents us from reforming LEGAL immigration systems with a full bill
  • defending criminal justice enforcement prevents us from systematic police reform and sentencing reform and other programs around post-incarceration reentry etc.
  • Defending views on embracing socialist language prevents us from winning more palatable issues on social democracy.

@MAKAVELI25 Respect the argument bro. Just treat me like you’re actually engaging with someone who is trying to make a strong argument for why he wants democrats to pivot.

My problem is that I don't actually think you are a Democrat anymore, so I want to apply the requisite scrutiny to your argument. And again, I don't consider it an insult to say that you're a Republican, but you seem like you've been going down the Ana Kasparian route for a while.

So again, in 2025, what policy positions do you actually agree with the Dems on? There is no right or wrong answer here.

Trans sports participation is not a basic right. Period.

Dems want trans people to be able to exist. Republicans dont.

I dont think being trans reflects a legitimate medical enterprise, but that doesn’t mean I want any harm to come to adults who chose to engage in that personal decision or be apart of that community.

If you’re explaining a shytty slogan, you lost.

If democrats can’t fix something, republicans will overcorrect. The goal should be to deliver, not to pander.

Good thing the real world is showing you that you dont need to listen to me. I’m doing you a favor in trying to explain this to you.

Why do you care what I am. I’m telling you where democrats are failing and you seem to think a label will help you win an argument because you’d rather focus on excluding what I’m showing you than engaging with how you can beat the people you claim you want to beat.

You can’t even provide a counter argument so your investment in discrediting me is where you think you’ll score points.

I want democrats to win. I have 10+ years on this forum showing this.

Pivot how, where? I'm incredibly interested in this.

Democrats are supposed to be the party of the working middle class, you've express several issues important to that subset that you believe they should pivot away from because you believe they will keep them from winning.

You dont get to address the issues you claim to care about because you’re seen as a mechanic who doesn’t know the difference between a hammer and a wrench. YOU HAVE TO NAIL THE BASICS. DRIVERS GET A PERMIT BEFORE A LICENSE!

FOR EXAMPLE:

  • You MUST drop any trans-nonsense so that voters can trust you on tax policy
  • You MUST drop illegal immigrant defenses so voters can trust you on social security
  • you MUST drop insane criminal justice reform suggestions in order to be trusted on public safety
Again, this is a DEMOCRAT FUNDED POLL:
