Fetterman's problem is that he had a stroke which turned his brain into a Republican, that's not really a character issue.

LARPing maybe, but I see no reason to believe Platner is a fraud who will start working against progressive policies if he's elected, like Fetterman did. If anything, the reddit posts show his actual ideological commitments are further left than he's saying publicly.

This is really not that hard to imagine given the context, and the people pretending it is are either being disingenuous or foolish. It's completely fair to question his judgement and downgrade him for getting a drunken tattoo of a "cool" looking symbol while on shore leave in Croatia, but to act like this is some secret sign that he's a crypto-Nazi is idiotic. This is a judgment issue, not a character issue.

I think stopping a genocide should be as important to any black man as any other issue. Not to mention the bevy of progressive policies that Platner supports and Mills doesn't. But you'll have to explain to me how Janet Mills is a bulwark for the preservation of racial equality in a way that Graham Platner isn't/wouldn't be.
