:heh: Leftists/Progressives feel good about a candidate because that candidate ticks off policy boxes. Which is why damn near anyone - from a young latina bartender in NYC to a former marine oyster farmer in Maine to a septuagenarian Harvard Law professor to an old hippie ex-Mayor from Vermont to a 34 year old muslim ex-rapper in New York - is welcomed by the progressive movement, as long as they display commitment to the progressive political agenda. What you're calling "consensus group think" is just ideological commitment to a moral and political philosophy. This differs from the power aesthetics and vibe-based "adult in the room" approach the centrists and Libs have. Which is why that one brainless idiot in here keeps going on about Gavin Newsom's physical attractiveness or why you were (are?) pushing The Rock.
If I grant your framing, our justification for supporting candidates is closer to where the American electorate is than your fantasy that the average voting American are policy wonks.

Honestly, who would be better positioned to defeat JD Vance in a general election?

Rashid Tlaib running on your perfect, ideologically pure platform or The Rock/Gavin Newsom charismatically presenting the 2028 means tested DNC platform?

We both know the answer

Oh ok.

So your contention is that the millions of immigrants living here pre-citizenship should have no ability to participate in civic and political life? All this time you've been pathetically following me around trying to call me MAGA, yet you've just been exposed for having same politics as Tom Homan and Matt Walsh? The retard doth protest too much, methinks.
what does “pre-citizenship” mean?

I don’t get to vote in Mexican elections.

Ball harder and you’ll join their ranks. Until then you’ll continue to be that guy at the end of the bench on a two way contract waving the towel, left to resort to climbing in my mentions daily like a scorned lover undeserving of a worthwhile reply yet ever desperate for my attention and love.
You’d rather type all that out instead of directly naming whoever is recruiting MTG, huh? :beli:

I acknowledge and grant that this country is in a terminally poor state of political education. The difference between us is that I think that's a bad thing that shouldn't just be acquiesced to.

You’re right. I should just ignore you in the future. I know you need my attention and I keep on giving it. Feeding your addiction. Enabling you. Change it to my heart not my head.

You can either accept reality and win within the confines of the game or you can live out your fantasy and lose.

I’d rather win with a mid candidate who will preserve my number one voting issue than lose to outright white supremacists

That’s the difference between us

He’s like @Loose without any redeeming qualities
Loose screws has redeeming qualities? He’s said and I paraphrase

“You should be in chattel slavery”

“A terrorist attack should happen where you live so you can learn empathy”

“Old black people that don’t vote for Zohran need to die”

“I regret voting for Kamala Harris (Donald Trump was also on the ballot for reference)”

And that’s just from 2025

But I hate that we’ve allowed him and his flunkies to completely derail this thread which should be focused squarely on the rising stars of the party during the rebuild. Maybe they will lose their internet connection for a few hours so we can return to that.

His redeeming quality is that he’s unintentionally funny . The fact that those are his greatest hits and he was dead serious with every statement is hilarious to me :russ:

Your continued mentioning of the Rock is indicative of your lack of seriousness. And I'm sure you're going to excuse it by saying that he's the only one who can win the Presidency, despite the facts that multiple Dems (Mandin, and I think both Sherrill and Spanberger) did well with young men in this past election.
