Buzz City, NC :blessed:
The off the record/tell all books that would come out with a Newsome/Booker ticket would be :ohlawd: two of the biggest phonies in the democratic party
The more that I think about it the more I’m warming up to the idea of AOC running.

She’s the only candidate that I can think of that would pragmatically govern well enough to get the country back on track while crushing the remnants of MAGA simultaneously with her justice department

I think she's probably Pelosi/Hillary levels hated by large portions of the country, it's h ard to imagine a path to her winning. But I think you're right about the Shapiro's, Bookers, Newsoms, etc. being too p*ssy. Think Pritzker would probably prosecute.

Agreed. She’s too polarized by years of FOX now. May be able to get away with her as a VP to pacify the left tho when a neoliberal corporate stooge inevitably wins tho.

Newsom is the front runner but I have my money on JB moneybags. He checks enough boxes for enough groups if they can get over him being rich AF

Went back and watched a few documentaries today

1. Obama tried to bend over backwards to work with Republicans. Republicans said they weren't going to vote yes to anything.
2. Obama still preaches this "bipartisan" nonsense while Republicans refused to acknowledge his presence, interrupted his speeches, etc.
3. Obama cut Wall Street execs a break in 2008. Goes to speak on Wall Street and not a single bank CEO shows up :dead:
4. Obama eventually says fukk it and passes the healthcare bill without a single Republican voting yes. Americans respond by giving Republicans control in the midterms :dead:
5. Republicans cry about Obama not involving them after all their bullshyt.

We were cooked way before Trump.

Forgot to mention many were arguing that he basically passed a version of the bill that was most palatable to republicans and they still said fukk you.

Newsom is not going to select a VP that he can't control. I suppose it's possible she convinces him. Kind of funny but Kamala would be the ideal VP for Newsom.

I think Shapiro has an ego as well but it's different than Newsom's; I don't think he'd see her as a threat. But I think their political differences would be a bigger hurdle.

Pritzker would maybe choose her but I don't know that he needs her. I'm guessing Buttigieg would rather rock with someone like Beshear or whoever his CIA/McKinsey handlers tell him to.

What are the power rankings right now?

1. Newsom
2. Everyone else

Maybe is because no one else has been as transparent but I think everyone else is kind of clustered together.

I think Newsom chooses Gallego as his VP.

Not a good sign, the best possible grace I could give Newsom is that he’s playing 4d Chess in hopes that the right wing podcast bros will go easy on him if he’s the Dem nominee.

That’s a fools errand though
Newsome gonna be fine. Minorities aren’t going to be the focus of this election.

Right, but you brought up Kamala not going on Rogan as some kind of “this proves her right.”
I brought up Kamala because I see a completely different reaction to Newsome sitting down with Shapiro than I seen with Kamala not sitting down with Rogan. The same people who wanted the latter feel differently about the former.

Has nothing to do with anyone being right.
