Bernie Sanders isn't a Democrat. He is an independent who caucuses with the Democrats.

Those pictures of him endorsing those 3 "progressive" candidates is part of a much larger conversation that has been going on in the Dem party. The progressive side of the house often lacks discernment about the candidates they choose to get behind. The desperation to build the coalition has continuously hurt their credibility.
