it's also a little rich to watch atheist progressives support eliminating a country that lets women be in politics/gays get married, to replace it with a Sharia islamic state that doesn't let women leave the house without covering their hair, and throws gays off of buildings

I can see why you and other Israel defenders would attempt to minimize or trivialize vocal critics of Israel as some fringe "terminally online" group, but recent clips shared from townhalls across the country prove that to not be the case.

This thread is about a rebuild not maintaining the status quo. The rebuild should not include a hand in glove relationship with Israel. Stating that is not a purity test.

No. It’s filairly simple:

We are in this situation with Iran because Trump during his first term tore up the JCPOA merely because it was an Obama achievement.

His own doing caused regional instability and now he’s decided to go to war because he didn’t get everything he wanted in negotiations.

Scapegoating this Trump manufactured crisis as merely being us following Israel is short sighted and honestly is in any ways ahistorical.

This is largely a continuation of policy set in place By Iran Hawks who ran his foreign policy in term one and still make up much of the heritage foundation who funnels them policy.
