americans are actually already highly taxed on every level :stylin:
our federal government is just inept and also restricting state governments from properly functioning

not everything in this country needs to be run by the feds

You didn't answer my question. If the market, the middle class, has a need that's not being met, how do you take care of it?

There are about 10 million uninsured Americans right now. Why aren't they being insured by private companies?

You do realize local taxes go to funding infrastructure right? You know what happens when business skip out on paying taxes due to corrupt contracts they sign with local governments where they extort them by saying "Without us we'll just relocate. When we leave, what jobs will your constituents have? Now sign this contract at low rates and works better for us and screws you long term." But no, private companies share no blame at all.

You do realize that state governments run off of tax dollars right. So now you're arguing that the government is holding back the government, and if the government would step out of the way, governments would be in a better position to act on issues that you don't believe the government should be involved in?

You see how dumb this shyt sounds?

well considering i'm not an anarchist, obviously the government needs to meet that need

i'm not arguing against government, im arguing for a smaller more efficient, more isolationist (i.e stop launching wars) government that can spend the money we already give them and not just put their hand out for more

Uncertain grounds

to be elite yes..but moderate improvements can be made if trained right..it may not look natural or fluid but it can really help make a connection to voters and thats always been her weakest spot. shes gotta do something about that..if not shes like dwight howard trying to learn from hakeem/kareem/ewing etc and somehow not learning one move

not talking about physical size specifically, talking about the amount of tax revenue & authority it gets
but physical size is an issue too, things get too bureaucratic, departments start doing stupid shyt just so they can keep their budget and exist next year

you're also only talking about the federal government which could give ZERO fukks about your home town

and yes use of military force is too much, that's why that needs to go too

You're talking about the amount of tax revenue and authority? See this is the shyt we're talking about....

Flint, MI is currently dealing with lead poisoning because of shytty infrastructure (there goes your tax revenue argument). I'm positive their public health department is understaffed, overworked, and working on a terrible budget. I'm also positive that their public health office has had their authority stripped because of the "cost to businesses" necessary to keep us safe. I say this because at the federal level this is seen every year.

Do you realize that the bureaucratic log jam is in part because of leadership that shares your views about the roles and responsibilities of the government? Think about the impact the lack of leadership from the top down in Michigan has had and will have on the lives of children in Flint.

Don't fukkn jump in threads like this complaining about government overstepping their boundaries, then complain when people that share your vision for government don't step up to the plate and take a proactive stance on public health concerns or criminal justice issues.

I hear what you're saying. My argument is that "smaller more efficient" is just a trendy phrase that doesn't mean anything if you're not going to quantify or qualify the statement. It's a republican talking point because 10 different people have 10 different opinions about what constitutes "smaller more efficient."
