Uncertain grounds
Very few people in government, particularly congress, know what the fukk they are doing let alone what they should be doing. Its a lot easier for both sides just to oppose each other full stop than actually be proactive and solve problems. Furthermore, our best talent rarely run for office. Its not worth it for them to leave the private sector

You have to impeach Trump for the sake of precedent if nothing else.

The Democratic party has demonstrated zero real evolution, they want to continue to operate in the sphere of good faith rules created a couple hundred years ago. While the Republican party has thrown all of that out the window for longevity.

The same leadership in place right now, is the reason they are in what they perceive to be a no win situation. I am honestly ready for them to f*ck all of this up so we can quickly move to a 3 party system of liberal, conservative, progressive.

The Dems work harder at stopping the Progressive wing or a third party forming than they do the Republicans. They got a good racket going why fukk it up by helping the citizenry. lol

Wouldn't splitting up "liberal" and "progressive" voters just be handing every election to conservatives? :what:

I get the feeling a lot of people on here hate Dems way more than the GOP.

They are our only tool at beating Republicans so going after them harder than Republicans right now is logical. Until they actually come up with a winning strategy to beat Republicans they get and deserve more criticism. Losing to Trump is unforgivable and after that loss they have no interest in changing strategy. That's not reprehensible to you?

Bernie's position on this no different than House Democrats.

Bernie Sanders says focus on impeachment 'works to Trump's advantage'

That said I also worry that impeachment would just help Republicans in 2020.
Yea, it is. They are afraid that it would help them win and then there might be blowback later. They feel that impeaching him would help in 2020 and hurt after. They’re bytchmade. I might just rename this the official Democrat’s are bytchmade thread.

The current Democratic party is a mix of liberals and progressives working together through compromise, that would not change. Conservatism is the minority and will continue to dwindle as boomers die out.

A third party is inevitable in the landscape of politics of this country. The upcoming generations will be overwhelmingly liberal/progressive, making conservatism that much more of a minority where moderates will no longer be able to straddle the fence for survival. At some point the liberals and progressives won't see the need in working together on compromise since obtaining a majority vote of the 2-halves for Congress and the WH would not be far fetched and would give them a majority.

The foundation of division is already set, it only gets worse from here, especially when Dems regain power.

Many of the criticisms are valid.

But at a certain point, bashing Dems all day is only going to discourage people from voting for them and help the GOP.
