No one will disagree with the notion that the current opiod crisis is being handled in a hypocratic and racist manner.

But that has nothing to do with the fact that the drug trade of the 80s and 90s turned most cities with any semblance of Black populations into No Mans Land. Chicago, LA, NYC, the Bay Area, Gary, East St Louis, Baltimore, Jersey, DC, New Orleans, Little Rock even low key cities like Tacoma, Washington were all popping in the 80s and 90s. This isn't debatable bruh. Pull up the violent crime rates and see for yourself.

Its disingenuous to act like numbers like that wouldn't illicit a heavy handed response.
