She won the popular vote by more than 2.5 million. We know it's cool to shyt on her here but let's not act like people didn't recognize she was the obvious choice over trump.

But as I am sure you don't recognize, that has nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

Hillary Clintons has been in the presidential game for 24 years. If she hasn't figured out by now that it's the Electoral vote and not the popular vote that determines the presidency, I don't know what the fukk to tell her.

I keep telling yall, progressives are in the minority of the Democratic Party. Not among young people or internet forumers, but among the whole party, and especially among the people who get to vote on stuff like this.

It's an inconvenient truth for some of yall, but there is a progressive bubble on the internet and on college campuses.

No, they are the minority of leadership.

I think she's well aware of that. That's a mighty nice straw man you've built there but it still doesn't address you saying she lost in a landslide when damn near 3 million more people voted for her. I don't know if youre being disingenuous or ignorant right now.

Any generic Democrat would win the popular vote just based on California, NY, etc. That means nothing. Just given immigration and the demographics of young people, if you're a Democrat and win all the reliably Democratic states (and districts) then you're probably going to win the popular vote if you get a reasonable turnout. There are more people in cities than rural areas. What you're ignoring is that there are roughly 30 million more potential voters in 2016 than there were in 2008 and she received less of the vote than Obama did then. It doesn't matter that Trump's words sparked a rise in latino turnout in places like California.

That is where Democrats fukked up. They thought demographics are destiny. They're not. It turns out that the Obama coalition was just that, the "Obama" coalition. One legendary politician saved them in 2012, I don't see that savior right now.
Why did Hillary win the popular vote in the Dem primary then?
Because African-American elders always support the Democratic frontrunners. The only exceptions to that rule were Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, I'll let you figure out what they had in common.

Ive had my beef with @Abogado before but the man is dead on in that post in which you supposedly didnt read..It wasnt even that much to read, stop being an idiot...Hillary got bludgeoned in the Electoral College because she took the deplorables for granted and thought she could ride Obama's dikk based on his performance in '08 and '12

It's the conspiracy of networking. People support their buddies. Same thing happened to that vet who was runnign for the Senate seat in I think Ohio 10 years or so ago. Guy was a lock for the seat becqause he had a great story. Chuck "Amy" Schumer called around and told people not to give him money for his campaign and tanked him from the inside. Same way Hillary got the nomination over Bernie.

Instead of complaining we need to all start affecting change at the local and national level. Instead of internet rants, call up your local DNC or Democratic offices and complain. :sas2:

No excuses or mercy for Hillary. She watched Al Gore lose on account of the Electoral College and she watched President Obama lose the popular vote in the '08 primary and still stomp a mudhole in her ass and win the nomination. Hillary knew what the deal was but she was too egotistical and lazy to do what she needed to do to win. Howard Dean and Barack Obama crafted winning strategies for the Democratics to win elections and she threw both of them in the bushes to return to the tired-ass 50+1 strategy that her and Bill came up with that lost ten years of Congessional elections. There was no excuse for not campaigning in Wisconsin and Michigan during the national election, none. There was no excuse for continuing to stick the shiv in Bernie supporters ribs even when she knew she needed them to vote for her, none. There was no excuse for turning away volunteers because Hillary didn't think a ground game was important, none. There was no excuse for not having a campaign strategy to apologize for NAFTA when she knew damn well it decimated the rust belt and she needed their votes, none. A shytty campaign ran by a shytty candidate with shytty political instincts, a shytty attitude, and a shytty sense of entitlement. fukk her.
