Nah, every other group gets glazed except black men. If you’re going to pander, pander to all of your voters. It’s also very noticeable because Dems always specifically highlight and identify black women but don’t make the gender distinction for other groups. And that’s with knowing that women are their most loyal voters in every racial demographic. I’m not saying that I care or wake up thinking about it - but a well read person would notice it in the moment. It also seems to piggyback off the notion that other groups (mostly non-black women) think that black women are the only group of black people they need to respect and can lump us in with other men to pretend their material conditions are anywhere near ours. But I guess you would have to be close to academia a lot to see it (which I have been). It’s annoying. Like I would have white liberal women telling my black inner city raised ass that I should check my privilege as a man when there’s next to no scenario in this country where I’m advantaged over them besides sports and a street fight. Ultimately, we have bigger fights and I voted for bro and I’m happy he won.
Call me crazy. But isn’t politics fundamentally about acknowledging your constituents? But maybe I’m sassy.![]()
I don't like gender warring and I neither need nor want another man to carry me.
But a lot of posters here are being dense. It would be one thing if he didn't shout out Black men but had Black men confidantes and operatives getting stuff done for us behind the scenes.
People don't understand politics is very choreographed. A bunch of people read and vetted that speech. It was meant to set a tone for the future but people are so traumatized by the false idea the no tangible no vote crowd got Trump elected they will ignore any hints until it gets in your face...and then it is too late.

. His literal job that he was working at is shutting down in December due to lost subsidies and tariffs which finally woke him up...smh
