Part of it is they need more seats in the Senate, and 2 of the Democrat senators, particularly Joe Manchin keeps voting against the democrats.
nah fukk all that they got everything they wanted and more in the last election:unimpressed: accountability isn't something you just ask for to feel better about a vote, its what cements long-term voters for a party and gives that party the steady voting base it needs to push policy, take the risks their people demand, and see projects through to completion while course correcting as necessary. when you fail at step on you objectively alienate people.

so fr enough of the 'save democracy or else' shyt. people been hearing that their entire adult life over one event or another and its always a lame commercial good for mobilizing a fraction of the votes needed to move the needle anyways. they need to make things happen or at minimum keep up appearances. republicans ran through all kinds of shyt when they had congress - and those in their party who didn't agree got the privilege of voting to push shyt through then promptly resign/get primary'd/get tossed from their committees/etc after the fact. there are solutions for these hurdles the democrats have been complaining about that have existed for decades. get shyt done, handle the in-party dynamics later.

they simply dont want to do shyt, its so low on their priority list that they can't even be bothered create a different narrative, or they are plainly dysfunctional. telling folks "this is it :damn:" when you can't even follow through on what you already promised only erodes the fading confidence that's left. that's the result of this kind of push.

its either incompetence or genuine inability to work as a party. either way its not on the voters to stay motivated in spite of a lack of return on their investment.

Don’t forget Joe Biden thinks he can play nice, and won’t do a bunch of executive orders.

Both these parties need a rebrand at the very least. The political system so trash. It need to be tore down and rebuilt. No more of this two party monopoly shyt. Only mothafukkas that take either party serious are political fanatics and people that’s caught up in all this political theater. The whole system fukked up

Let's be real dems / progressives and young voters who are progressives never really show out in mid terms when dems are in office.

It's been the same since I was a kid. You for young progressives you basically got to have a economical crisis, a war, some horrible civil unrest and etc to even get them to vote. If the economy is good and their are jobs or job openings (like now) them kats really ain't voting in large numbers. And thus that's why the repubs always got a chance to win.

Anyway repubs will win the midter. take back the White House in 2024 and control everything. Then young progressives and dems gonna be complaining when the economy is shyt and the president saying conservative talking points like I go on indeed and see plenty of jobs so why y'all complaining.

the blame progressive shyt is jokes breh

like biden is the safe, experienced moderate answer that's supposed to check boxes across the board and the dem leadership made sure that the progressive influence remained reigned in over and over again. cake was had and eaten too but its stilllll on the progressives? cmon lol

i think its time we can drop that typical dems punching down within their own party to keep power consolidated shyt :francis: this party doesn't have the ability or the public awareness needed to beat back republican gains, stop looking goofy unprovoked, and to squabble with their own at every opportunity for literally no significant reason. and the fact people still find ways to blame progressives when they don't do shyt other than highlight popular topics with no actual power to effect it beyond the created visibility?

its just trifling

The Dems have less than 5 months to pass Build Back Better and anything on voting rights. Once the primary season is in full swing it’s over for this Congress besides routine votes to keep the government open and the military.

Biden was elected to deal with the pandemic. His administration went with a vaccine only approach which would work if you didn’t have variants. They never thought something like Omicron would come which is incredible. The testing debacle would have been avoided if they just had foresight.

Elsewhere, he hasn’t used his existing executive authority nearly enough.

Good news is he’s got solid appointees at agencies working on labor, antitrust, etc…

It's pathetic how liberals can't secure votes with policy but instead create a new boogie man to stay relevant.

But what about republicans?

Well they aren't acting like they fukk with us. We aren't black unless we vote Dem and what are we getting?
