Blame Mitch. Obstructing a seat for an entire year just because made it a mainstream issue.

13 in a partisan split is clearly a nonstarter.
Perhaps the goal is what I've advocated....15 judges. 5 by democrats, 5 by republicans and 5 chosen by the other 10.

It will sit for two years and see what happens with the 2022 election. If Dems gain seats, the court will expand.

If it passed, it would be quite accelerationist. I'm actually for that because I do want this country to separate - we're too dumb to remain together.

As much as I'd love for the court to expand, I just don't see the point of something like this unless you have the votes. Otherwise it's only going to benefit Republicans...
Seems like terrible politics.
