I have no issue with this outside of deciding which descendant gets it especially for those who can no longer make the selection.

Like I won’t use mines but I want to change which child I’m giving it to my daughter is on her way to a scholarship and my youngest my oldest isn’t going to college so I want to give it to my other son but I’m not allowed to hopefully that changes in a few years.

It is a dagger in the chest of republicans if they vote no. One thing that splits the cacs more than anything in the US is war veteran benefits. Its hard to say no, when you say "these veterans literally didnt get the same benefits as those veterans. Let's give them that." It is way different from reparations.

The fact that it is "exclusive to African Americans" something coli MAGA c00ns said Democrats would never do and will continue to say in spite of facts, is enough for Republicans to argue the bill is "hurtful" a "handout" "divides us" and all that other shyt.

Nah, they will still fight it. We are talking about the same hypocritical party that loves veterans, but fought bitterly against them getting VA benefits for burn-pit based lung cancer . And these were mostly white people. Imagine what they will say about black people, especially when they are holding the federal debt limit hostage.

What’s really, really going to blow your mind is that when the Select Services Readjustment Act, a.k.a., the G.I. Bill was initially launched after WW2, it was the Democrats that drafted it. They made it so that it was up to the state and local authorities to implement it for Black people. This did not turn out effectively for us, as it was white people in those banks and schools (no shyt) and they wielded the power that came with those positions, naturally. This caused the power to still remain in white peoples hands (again, no shyt). And yes, those Democrats were from the south. So, while the American middle class was able to grow because of the G.I., Bill, Black people were still stagnant, even after fighting for the country.

The GI bill created the white middle class. It took black folks decades to build a solid middle class and this is a big part of why it took so long.
