How does Trump "tell it like it is" if he lies 80% of the time

I been warning of this for a while now. As of now Biden may still be able to win because Trump is so unpopular. However, if this race tighten up by November this a major concern. Even if Biden win Democrats are going have to do much better with outreach to Black men. Which mean we need specific policy objectives and results.

How can you "tell it like it is" if you're always lying?
I think what he is getting at is contrived political speak. For example when Trump was asked about defunding the police he was like 'hell no!'
When Biden was asked he said, "I am not in favor of defunding the police but I am committed to police reform."

Which one of these answers sounds more honest to you and less contrived?

Because the system/country in and of itself is a whole lie.

From the way Trump talks and behaves (regardless of how factually accurate), you might get the impression that he represents and leads a largely corrupt, bigoted authoritarian country that cares nothing for the people who keep said country afloat. That's exactly "like it is" in America.

If you put him next to another habitual liar...what's separating them is how they communicate their bullshyt. Biden talks like a lawyer, Trump for some people will easily look like the more 'honest' crook.

one clearly shows nuance to the situation at hand

especially when you consider outside the social media bubble most people aren't for "abolishing the police"

even within "abolishing the police" radical circles there's not a clear cut answer to what that would look like.

so it's the smarter answer clear as day. It only comes across as "contrived" cause people can't deal with anything outside of a yes or no paradigm

which again, that's an indictment of the American populace as a whole, left or right

Why can't people deal with anything outside the yes or no paradigm? It seems you are insinuating most of America isn't that smart. I ask again why?
Are our local, state and federal politicians Dem or Republican prioritizing education? Is our culture and media left or right cultivating nuance?
Americans are doing what they were taught to do generally speaking.
