Dems not named Biden seem to be running ahead of POTUS.
Because those dems are local and speak to local issues. The president can't change zoning laws so affordable housing can be built. The president can't control city bylaws. He can't overturn state laws. He can't change pollution or emission bylaws to clean up the air. He can't put trains and streetcars in the city and he can't change state taxes to get more doctors in the state.

He can't give grants for local businesses either to resist stuff like Walmart coming in and killing the local businesses. He can't write legislation that makes abortion legal in the state.

A big driver of the president going into the tank with young people is him standing by and aiding a genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. He could stop that tomorrow if he wanted to. He could also talk in a more aggressive manner about the things the GOP are doing and how they’re a threat to democracy, he could be more open to championing some progressive issues to improve peoples lives, he could talk about how the scotus is a threat to democracy and right wing judges in general, how the federalist society is trying to overthrow the government etc. I promise you those things would absolutely help boost his approval rating

I mean just making more of an effort to improve people’s material conditions would drastically help to get him a boost in approval

Anyways Biden has to realize what he’s currently doing ain’t it and he needs to figure out ways to energize the voter base because that neoliberal shyt and the world police stuff doesn’t play well in 2024

If Biden came out in favor of M4A tomorrow he’d fukking wash trump and it wouldn’t be very close.

If the FL dems can find away to dismantle gerrymandering FL can be the NY of the south
Florida voted for Obama twice. It swtiches back and forth between being Red and Purple.

The main issue with Florida in all honesty is that, due to it's lack of a viable job market and good paying jobs, many young liberal people or Yuppies have been flocking to other places like Texas, ATL, North Carolina, California, NYC, DMV, etc. which gives Florida's GOP more of an edge because the older residents/retirees and country people will continue to vote GOP since they don't really have as much to lose.

But DeSantis's draconian laws on abortion and alimony might push more women away from him. There's already Republican women who feel "buyer's remorse" over that type of legislation.

So, who knows what the future holds for Florida? Even younger Cubans vote differently from the older ones.
