Most registered voters don't switch their party until they have too, which could be decades in the case for older people whom once was democrats when they were younfer

Democrats aren't gaining voters like that either. They mentioned that, young folks don't want anything to do with either party. We will see a much bigger contingent of Independents.

Dems actually have standards and respect for decorum and precedent. This is a huge weakness when the GOP has zero standards or respect for decorum and precedent. Obama would have never dreamed of doing something like DOGE or Project 2025. The GOP uses the Dems' standards against them.

"Billionaire" these days is a false title because a lot of billionaires have their money tied up in a number of highly illiquid assets that they take 0% interest loans on. Elon is the "richest" man in the world, but someone like a Bill Gates easily could pull more money out the bank or convert it into something tangible.

As these billionaires see the country collapsing, they'll move it into gold, bitcoin, property, artwork, things that are universally transferable.

When and if this country truly collapses, they will have enough of their assets in extranational holdings that they could maintain their quality of life in Saudi Arabia, Monaco, Cayman Islands, Singapore, Ireland or the UAE. They'll be fine. That's the problem. You have these mid-tier wealthy politicians and businessmen that do the bidding of the ultra wealthy and they don't have the same golden parachutes.
