The setup in the first half of the movie was kind of meh because cube jr has no charisma or screen presence. He looks cool for LA but a chubby black dude pretending to be some sophisticated french diamond broker took more disbelief than watching a marvel film

Same here. I was mad at my wife because we missed it while it was in the Dolby Theatre. Once it was over that shyt wouldn't have been necessary at all. beautifully shot but bland as hell..
Yeah I wasn't a fan of the first half but the heist and aftermath were fire..if it had nothing to do with the OG it would be a low key borderline classic/better received. This shyt was dope.
