Flag bearer doesn't mean shyt. Who was the US flag bearer in 2000, 2004, 2008 in the summer Olympics, what about the winter Olympics?

Dennis is a guy wanting to use race as a reason he isn't popular ignoring that he isn't a special talent to have the level of fame he wants.

In context it DOES mean shyt because that was what the conversation was about. And to a lot of people it is a big deal especially in other countries.

You could say whatever u want about dude, I don't care. I'm just not going to intentionally misinterpret somebody because I don't like them.

I don't dislike him him, stop with the bs excuses for this man's delusion.
There is no context for his complaint because he simply isn't on the level of being a Dirk.
He isn't on the level or being one of the first like Detlef.
He has the appropriate fame for his achievements, simple as that.
He should be happy with the career earnings he has and his level of fame.

I have no reason to make "excuses" for no Dennis cotdamn Schroeder...:what: tbh I don't even know why y'all care about the shyt so much

For the 3rd time that's how I interpreted his statement in context. He's speaking in an interview from the perspective of a fellow flag bearer--- a title that is reserved for few. Dirk included. He use his name because that's what resonated with him when he watched the shyt as a kid as per the interview.

You keep acting like he randomly tweeted "I'm better than Dirk as a player" he did not.

This is a thread about Denis Schroeder so people are discussing it.
If you dont want to discuss it, on the messageboard where people discuss topics, then just leave this thread and don't look back. Its not hard.
But you are making excuses and blindly dikkriding Schroder and its sad.

Low the context isn't lost though, he simply isn't his or other equal, probably due to the fact that he isn't the first or the best at anything professionally. So it would be absurd to think you would get the honor and respect as some one superior to you. Simple as that.

Dennis is a dikkhead and the comparison is def goofy, but coli brehs weighing in with anecdotal points on Germany as a pro-black nation is a step too far HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

Also, comparing him to Pat Bev, or even to Dirk in the NBA is totally irrelevant. Schroder has major performances in international and Olympic tournaments, which means a hell of a lot more to Germans than what he does in the NBA. He legit is a legend over there.

I say all that as someone who doesn’t give a fukk about that ugly smart-dumb nikka.
I'm over here about to hit the Alonzo Mourning, begrudging acceptance GIF just to read that last sentence. You ain't shyt, Walt :dead:

I think he makes a good point.

I mean, let's be honest, this is Germany for God's sake, the same country that once saluted Adolf Hitler and Nazi ideology, so it's not too far out of the realm of possibility that Germans don't respect him or even consider him to be an “authentic” German due to his ethnicity, skin color, etc. Basically, to keep it simple, he doesn't represent what a “true” German looks like to most nationals.

Just because the flags aren't flown anymore doesn't mean that part of Germany doesn't live on in spirit. We all know back in Nazi Germany, African/Black Germans were not exactly considered “pure” due to their ethnicity and physical features, etc.

I don't think it mattered if he used Dirk or just some good-average White German ballplayer, in comparison, since what he's saying, in general, poses legitimate thought.

We say it all the time foreigners care about international more than NBA
True, in Serbia until the last year Olympics game against the US, some people were seriously still putting Dražen, Divac and Bodiroga over Jokić lol
