Don’t call the police or the laws. Just take justice into your own hands. If the assailant/perpetrator skips town or is extremely dangerous (cartel member, militarily trained, criminal mastermind, connected in the streets, fraudster, etc.), go ahead and see if you can bring your loved one to justice all by yourself. See how that turns out.
