Denzel Washington vs. Wesley Snipes: Who had the better '90s filmography? Strictly 90s, between them two who was the bigger star? Explain why 🤔.

Which star had the better and more memorable run during the '90s?

If Blade came out in the 90s its not even close.

Nino Brown=Alonzo

They were both equally as talented as actors. Might give the slight edge to Wesley as far as diversity. His ability to do comedic roles was a bit better than Denzel. People will come in here and act like X was Denzel playing someone other than calm Denzel though:mjlol:

Nikkas ain't gonna be honest because it's Denzel but it's Snipes easily

Blade damn near wins this off influence alone

Demolition Man is ridiculous, but Simon Phoenix is fukkery on wheels and the movie itself predicted current society

Nino Brown?:wow: should I keep going?

Blade is a superhero AND vampire movie that released at a time when comic books were at their peak and Interview with a Vampire renewed interest in the genre. That’s not taking anything away from Wesley Snipes, because his performance was perfect, but compared to the subject matter Denzel’s 90 movies covered, Wesley Snipes’ catalog doesn’t come close.

:dahell:Marvel went bankrupt in the late 90s. The comics peak was over by 97 and everyone was abandoning ship. Not to mention that making a movie about a relative unknown like Blade was a huge gamble

The comic book industry crashed in North America in 1996. Many comic stores closed down. Marvel went bankrupt.

That's the entire reason why Blade was made in the first place. Also, Blade was NOT marketed as a superhero film but as a gothic vampire horror film (which it really is).
