I take meds for Schizoaffective Bipolar type. Before treatment, I was in court often, psych wards, and landed in the icu; I was real miserable. Now I'm able to live and be healthy. Some days are still a struggle tho, but I struggle with enthusiasm.
I know nothing about real depression tho, only went through it once (9 years ago) and that was due to heavy drug abuse. Never felt suicidal my whole life despite my issues and insanity. Weird. Hope I never have to feel that.

my Jewish girls dad told me shamans are schitzophrentic , i read on that shyt and found out he was right , and it said they have more DMT in their blood than others . Think the Kung fu drunken master and how he's crazy but wise
I'm telling you these mental illnesses are gifts it's just that we don't know how to control it

True, chemically imbalanced people tend to be very creative and have a certain persistence and drive to reach goals and get things done. They provide interesting perspectives on things from my conversations.
But I feel like there's a proper way to turn poison into medicine. I'm certainly no perfect, but I use SOME structure, apply healthier choices every few months, and attempt to take meds consistently. I recently ran into someone I know who refuse to take meds and was in denial of his illness. I mean I understood what he was saying about finding peace and beauty in his visions/delusions, and he didn't seem to be a danger to self or others being delusional, but at the same time, he smelled horrible and he was living on the streets.
I just lose out on too much when I end up in an institution, jail, or using drugs. My mood swings have gotten violent, and i make some dumb mistakes based on my delusion in the past. It's safer in reality for me. I can't get to where I want to go being unstable.
