This is not a racial thing. It is not even a socioeconomic status thing. Women are simply attracted to dominance. Any woman working at a male prison is at risk.

I know one (White) woman who worked with my professor on her dissertation. She got her Ph.D in psychology, then her license. Comes from a good home, no weird issues. Went to work at a male prison. Got subsequently fired for repeatedly having sex with the same male inmate. I think her license to practice psychology was revoked too.
