I have pretty much known for a while now that he wasnt coming back this season. And he might as well sit out the playoffs too. Cuz him trying to fit in will have a negative effect on the team if he struggles and you dont want that to happen while you are in the postseason. He may as well wait now, and work that rust off during the offesason and during the preseason in October.

He's been doing full contact practices for months now.

The team wouldn't have some long adjustment period to Rose returning. They've been playing and practicing with him for a long time.
